As a training organization directly under Guangdong Telecommunication System, Guangdong Telecom Training Center (hereinafter called "the Center") was established on October 15, 1999, through merging Guangdong Posts and Telecom Skill Training Center, Guangdong Posts and Telecom Managers Training Center, and Guangdong Telecom Employees Training Center.

　The Center is a professional technical further education base attested by Guangdong Provincial Personnel Department, whose tenet is to provide the rapidly-developing telecommunication and information industries with various management and technical training services, and to provide on-the-job employees with further education for helping them to renovate knowledge and widen insight, to master new theories, technologies, and methods in their own majors in time, to know the present situation and the development trend of the internal and external telecommunication science and technology well for adapting to the demand of modern telecommunication construction and development.

　The Center is located in Shipai Meixin Hill of Tianhe District in Guangzhou, with the floor area of 50,000 m². The Center is equipped with perfect and advanced training and teaching equipment, experienced teaching staff, and a series of supporting facilities for conferences, living, entertainment, etc. The Center is an ideal educational training base, with green trees and grass, fresh air, elegant environment, and preferable geographic position.

　The Center focuses on the on-the-job training, and bases itself upon the telecommunication enterprises, and extends to the whole society, and serves the enterprises and the society with all its strength. Guangdong Telecommunication Vocational Skill Training Center, Guangdong Correspondence Teaching Head Station of School of Network Education of Beijing University of Posts and Telecom, Guangdong Posts and Telecom Guidance Center of Self-study and Testing, the Nominated Testing Spot of National Computer Grade Test, etc are the attached institutions of the Center. The Center is applying itself to developing itself into a first-class comprehensive training base in South China and even all over the country, uniting teaching, conference, and sports into one, with complete functions and international teaching level.
